- In reading this, you will examine the rights and responsibilities of citizens and the government during the French Revolution. It will also explain the complex views of John Locke, and his different views on the need for government, the natural rights of citizens, and the right to a revolution.
- There will be a clear illustration of the basic rights that all citizens should have, and the right of the citizen to overthrow an unjust government (a revolution), and the political, social, and economic rights that a citizen should be guaranteed (during the French Revolution).
- It will also encompass the responsibilities of the French government to protect the citizens' basic rights, the responsibility of a government to ensure the happiness of their people, and the obligation of a government to make sure the nation runs efficiently.
